The Shinta Mani Foundation is financially sponsored by the Shinta Mani Hotel, a 6 Star hotel in Siem Reap.
Over the years the Shinta Mani Foundation has, built houses, installed water wells, erected toilets, built chicken coups, installed vegetable gardens and provide micro loans for numerous very poor families in rural areas of Siem Reap.
In the last 8 years the Shinta Mani Foundation has also made its staff available to support ongoing projects Rice For Cambodia have initiated.
Rice For Cambodia projects include monthly food drops to 27 families, monthly food packs to encourage 29 students who attend Sandan Primary School, infrastructure upgrades, medical supplies and New Mum kits to Peak Sneng and Svay Chek Health Centres. Infrastructure upgrades have also been completed at both Sandan and Khting Primary schools and each year school supplies and uniforms and back packs are provided to the children. An English class is also conducted at each school 4 nights per week during the school year.
Shinta Mani Foundation staff also coordinate building projects on behalf of Rice For Cambodia such as toilets and water wells for selected families and also the establishment of vegetable gardens, chicken coups and where appropriate micro loans to allow selected families to establish an approved business. Shinta Mani Foundation staff monitor our Playgroup, that attracts 60-70 children each week.

Rice For Cambodia was established in 2004 to support the Life and Hope Association, a Pagoda of monks in Siem Reap. These monks are committed to providing food and support to the poorest of the poor in the Angkor Thom District.
Rice For Cambodia provides funds to the Life and Hope Association on a monthly basis and which is used to provide food to the families in our Sustainable Community Program. If some family situations improve they leave the program and other needy families join.
Rice For Cambodia also provides funds to Life and Hope Association for the purchase of school supplies for the school age children of families in the Sustainable Community Program.
Currently, 19 families living in villages 35 kilometres North of Siem Reap, are part of our Sustainable Community Program, led by LHA who are based in Siem Reap, and is funded by Rice For Cambodia.
